The
wide smile of hope.
What we do ...
Isaka Memorial Foundation
(IMF) harnesses existing community resources including local health facilities,
as well as the donations it receives from well wishers
to break the vicious cycle of
acquiring HIV and to mitigate the impact of AIDS.
The
idea of starting the first center to cater for the Orphans and Vulnerable
Children comes from personal encounters with AIDS orphans. The main driving
force behind this foundation emanates from our deep spiritual belief that we are
our brothers’ keepers, hence, our duty to provide assistance to the unfortunate
in our societies.
HIV and AIDS significantly
affect children at many levels. A child’s family and community can be hard hit
by the effects of AIDS as parents get sick, are not able to work or are not
there to protect their children. The end result is a disruption in children’s
lives, putting their health, security and future at risk.
We believe that
families and communities are often best able to care for children who have lost
one or both parents to AIDS.
Isaka Memorial Foundation
(IMF) is registered in USA as non-profit, (501 (c) (3), organization whose main
purpose is to ensure access for orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), to
essential services in economically depressed communities.
